Seinfeld In Dallas At Winspear June 8

Seinfeldby Steven Doyle

Jerry Seinfeld is an iconic comedian made famous by his eponymous television series in the 90’s. Comedy Central labeled Seinfeld as number 12 in a line of 100 comedians they most appreciated. Number one and two respectively is Richard Pryor and George Carlin, so that list seems legit. Sinbad is number 79 so that list gets dodgy towards the end, but still, who doesn’t have a few Jerryisms in their late night repertoire? I am looking at you who often say “yada, yada, yada”, which can mean most anything.

Being famous for a show about nothing isn’t a bad gig. There really is nowhere else to go but up, since all you would have to do is something.  Seinfeld seems to be mostly enjoying his life, and has a little web series called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. This is a very Jerry program that is a must watch. Viewing comedians in their natural habitat can be quite entertaining.

For 2013 Seinfeld is reportedly working with rapper Wale on his 4th studio album, The Album About Nothing. Not sure where that is going, but it was just announced that the comedian will be in Dallas for some stand up work at the Winspear. His tour will visit the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Winspear Opera House in Dallas on Saturday, June 8 at 7 p.m. & 9:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 214.880.0202 or in person at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Box Office at the Winspear Opera House, 2403 Flora Street (Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.), or at the remote Box Office at Park Place Lexus Plano at 1025 Preston Road.
