Rob Shearer, Mr. Oak Cliff, sends a photo of the original Gloria’s in Dallas as it is being razed. The original location closed last year and moved about a quarter mile down Davis Street on the edge of Bishop Arts.

Actually, the original Gloria’s was the restaurant in the Howard Johnson’s motel on 635 and Forest Lane. They opened in Oak Cliff as the first stand alone a year or so later.
