Amid a cloud of bush carrot and mangelwurzel our root vegetable-powered press release machine produced this press release…

The Balvenie Rare Craft Collection, a first-of-its-kind exhibition featuring original works from some of America’s finest craftspeople, is coming to Dallas September 10 & 11 as part of a six-city tour. Curated by award-winning fashion designer Todd Snyder (GQ’s Best New Menswear Designer 2012 and finalist for the CFDA/Vogue fashion Fund), every piece in The Balvenie Rare Craft Collection stands as a passionate expression of craftsmanship in all its forms.

image001From bowler hats and bicycles to electric guitars and Ping-Pong tables, this groundbreaking collection represents rare crafts from EVERY corner of America including Dallas, proudly represented by furniture designer Danny Kamerath whose beautiful wooden chairs reflect a craftsman’s skill and artist’s instinct.

The event will be hosted by Texas native Jonathan Wingo, The Balvenie Brand Ambassador, who has been making a name for himself in the whisky industry since 2010. Jonathan was recognized in 2012 by Forbes Magazine’s “30 Under 30” in the Food and Wine category for his boutique liquor store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn called The Whiskey Shop and his dedication to curating a collection of craft and obscure whiskies distilled from all over the world.

Wingo says, “This event is a wonderful partnership. It exemplifies The Balvenie’s unique craftsmanship and complete control over its production, from growing its own barley to employing a team of coopers to tend the casks. We are proud to be represented among some of the finest craftsmen in the country.”

The Balvenie Rare Craft Collection is Sept. 10 & 11, 6pm – 10pm, at The Hickory Street Annex (501 South 2nd Avenue, #200, Dallas, TX 75226 ).  The gallery-style exhibit is free to the public and includes complimentary tastings of the hand-crafted single malt whisky, The Balvenie, and hors d’oeuvre. Scotch Whisky Master Classes, hosted by The Balvenie Ambassador Jonathan Wingo, are also available both days at 6:30pm and 8pm. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. RSVP required at http://www.thebalvenie.com/collection.
