East Hampton Sandwich Co. will be expanding to Fort Worth in August of 2014. Twenty-six year old CEO – Hunter Pond – and the Post Venture team (parent company for East Hampton Sandwich Co.) have signed a lease at 1605 S. University – in the WestBend mixed-use development. The new 2,130 square foot site marks the third location for this growing company.
East Hampton Sandwich Co.’s first location opened to highly acclaimed reviews in the fall of 2012 in Dallas’ Snider Plaza shopping center serving their unique sandwiches and specialty sauces. The second restaurant opened shortly thereafter in the fall of 2013 in the Shops at Legacy – Plano. Most recently named Top 21 Sandwich Shops in America, the restaurant has hit a stride and is recognized as a premier fast format restaurant for superior quality sandwiches. Pond chose this particular Fort Worth site due to the close proximity to a flourishing neighborhood, Texas Christian University Campus and 5-minute drive from downtown. He says, “My partners and I are thrilled to be in Fort Worth because of the booming atmosphere of the city. The energy is great and we have had countless requests to bring our sandwiches out there. I love the laid-back feel of the city and the dining culture there is thriving; we feel it’s a natural fit for us.”
Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, East Hampton Sandwich Co. specializes in handcrafted sandwiches and salads with ingredients made in-house. The interior is carefully designed and offers a relaxed environment, while at the same time providing a quick dining experience. Menu highlights range from an authentic Lobster Roll, Fried Chicken + Jack, and the ever popular Turkey, Bacon + Avocado. For those looking for a lighter carb conscious item, the On Harvest Greens option transforms any sandwich into a salad version – served on a bed of Spinach, Italian Mix or Romaine. East Hampton also serves wine and beer making this an ideal neighborhood destination restaurant.
