Get Your Kolache Fix Without Driving To Austin

While all of our cooler friends are whooping it up in Austin for the latest incarnation of SXSW, we trudge along through our days living vicariously through their many texts and photos via social media. Of course they all made the pit stop  for kolaches in West, Texas and flaunted the dozens of varieties they whaled own with a PBR forty. It just makes them seem all that much more hip.

Well, pine no more, you can have your very own kolaches right here in the Dallas area without making that trek to Austin. And I am not talking those silly dough balls sold at every doughnut shop across the Metroplex.

IHeart Kolaches actually opened for business a few years ago, and sell every imaginable flavor of kolache, and then some.

For those not familiar, a kolache is a pillowy pastry usually dotted with fruit. Some kolache shops will sell them with sausage or some other sort of meat, and these are actually called klobasniki. These were made up after the Czech population moved into Texas.

I-Heart-Kol

Regardless, IHeart Kolaches has a perfect storm of kolaches to make your heart strum.

Classic flavors include cream cheese, cherry, plum, apple, peach and more. Whereas the more unusual kolaches are made up of bbq beef, enchilada and Philly cheesesteak. There are also plenty of breakfast items which include eggs and the myriad of meat choices such as ham, sausage and bacon.  And why not? The prices are right, too.
