33 Restaurant Group announced the opening of The Yard, The  “farmhouse chic” eatery in the heart of  McKinney.  The Yard serves-up classic backyard grub for friends and family in one of McKinney’s most historic homes – with no yard work required.

Backyard fare including Yard Bird Wings, Beer Cheese Dip, Church Street Club as well as the signature Yard Burger and Front Porch Nachos compliment classic BBQ beer selections and cocktail offerings including Well Water (prepared with Casamigos Blanco), as well as frozen and tapped signature spirits including the Yard Smash (Knob Creek, TX honey, blackberry and mint), Perl Frosé and Backyard Punch.

“The restaurant, yard, and entire property have come to life and exceeded all our expectations, it looks absolutely amazing.  This is going to be a special place where McKinney families will be able to hang out, entertain friends, and feel as if they’re in an extension of their own backyard, right here in Downtown McKinney,” says 33 Restaurant Group founder and CEO, Preston Lancaster.

The historic home dates back to 1878 to Dr. C.N. Abbott who also owned the drug store on the square.   107 S. Church Street has also been occupied by James Madison Pearson, Mayor of McKinney from 1890-1903.  During his tenure, McKinney built it’s fist city park, first water and sewer system, first public school and developed the first building codes.  The Yard sits on a one acre lot with 2,500 square feet of indoor dining as well as a 1,000 square foot wrap around porch with outdoor ping pong tables, fire pits, a food trailer and other games.

33 Restaurant Group owns and operates Union Beer Brewing Co. in Plano, Cadillac Pizza Pub in McKinney, and Taverna Rossa Craft Pizza and Beer in Plano and Southlake and Heritage Pizza and Taproom in The Colony.
The Yard is located at 107 S. Church Street in McKinney.
