Paella Palooza with Chef Graham Dodds at Urbano Café Oct 14

The Dallas Chapter of the International Wine & Food Society has announced that Chef Graham Dodds will be at the helm for their next event, “Paella Palooza – A Spanish Experience,” at Urbano Café on Sunday, October 14th.

“Chef Dodds has created a spectacular menu for the night, which will be paired with special and exciting Spanish Wines,” said branch President Joey Stewart.

The evening will begin with Cava on Urbano’s outdoor patio as tapas and the next wine of the event is served. It will then proceed inside for an assortment of salads, sides, tapas, and two kinds of paella.

Manchego & Quince Skewers

Blistered padron peppers with pickled gypsy peppers, saffron & lime 

Tortilla Española

Salads:
P’tit Basque cheese, apple, marcona almond, escarole & sherry vinaigrette

Cara Cara oranges, shaved fennel, red onion & serrano ham

Carolina white shrimp, spanish chorizo & P.E.I. mussels
Local rabbit, hen of the woods mushrooms & Swiss chard

Sides and Tapas:
Patatas bravas with piquillo aioli
Pisto a la bilbaína
Smoky eggplant with garrotxa cheese & pink peppercorns

White beans, cured tuna & comeback creek’s Spanish spice peppers

Dessert:
Basque style cheesecake with figs and honey
