With successful locations in Allen and The Colony, Shakertins has found a loyal following of customers who appreciate its fun-loving atmosphere, friendly service, tasty drinks and fun bar food. Now, it’s bringing that tried-and-true concept to The Shops at Legacy North.
Shakertins is taking over the old Twisted Root space at the northeast corner of Legacy and the Dallas North Tollway. The 3,500-square-foot interior is complemented by an additional 1,000 square-foot patio, with dual garage doors creating a breezy indoor/outdoor feel. A separate space can accommodate 15-20 people for corporate meetings and private events—it’s wired for A/V presentations—and will function as a VIP lounge at night.
Get your game on three pool tables, or turn your attention to the 13 HDTVs, which always carry all sporting events and UFC. On weekends, DFW’s best DJs will spin tracks and take advantage of the bar’s state-of-the-art sound.
Shakertins features drink specials seven days a week, so there’s always a reason to celebrate. Monday brings free pool, $1 pints and $4 pitchers; Tuesday means $2 street tacos, Sol beer and Milagro tequila; and Wednesday sees Jack Daniel’s priced at just $5, to name a few. The regular happy hour runs Monday through Friday until 7 p.m., with half-price appetizers, half-price craft cocktails, $4 wells and $1 off all draft beer and wine. The bar also offers discounted pricing for service industry members.
Hungry guest will enjoy the fun, elevated bar food. Fill your stomach with signature burgers, hand-rolled pizzas, nachos, wings, street tacos and sandwiches, like the chicken fried chicken and the Philly Dilly, each served with a choice of crispy fries, housemade slaw or hand-cut onion rings.

Shakertins is slated to open Friday, March 12.
