Fort Worth’s beloved beer destination, Flying Saucer, is once again hosting its annual Barleywine and Swine extravaganza on Saturday, February 22, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM. This anticipated event celebrates one of the strongest beer styles: Barleywine. Known for its rich complexity and potent strength, Barleywine is typically released only once a year, often during the late autumn or early winter months. These ales boast an alcohol by volume (ABV) range of 6% to 13%, offering a bold and warming experience for craft beer enthusiasts.
Flying Saucer will feature a curated selection of exceptional American and English barleywines throughout the day, including prized brews from renowned breweries such as Sierra Nevada, Alesmith, and Peticolas. In addition to traditional offerings, barrel-aged barleywines will be available until they run out. Guests can enjoy these unique brews in a flight of four 4-ounce pours for just $18, allowing them to explore a variety of flavors and styles.
No Barleywine celebration would be complete without an indulgent feast, and Flying Saucer’s Swine Platter delivers in a big way. This over-the-top dish includes a generous assortment of mouthwatering pork dishes—pulled pork, pork wings, pork ribs, pork sausage, and more—perfectly paired to complement the bold flavors of the beers. The Swine Platter is available for $16, ensuring you can enjoy in all the savory pork goodness you can handle.
Flying Saucer is located at 111 E. Third Street, at the corner of Commerce, in Fort Worth. The venue operates Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
