After a pandemic hiatus and a move from Deep Ellum, HIDE has found new footing on Greenville Avenue, reemerging in 2023 with a refreshed vibe, a tighter menu, and the same commitment to quality cocktails and craveable food. It’s less gritty than its original home, but no less confident.
The space is sleek without being cold—dim lighting, leather accents, and a bar that invites you to stay for more than one round. The cocktail list is sharp, modern, and intentionally built. Classics are given thoughtful twists, like the Freezer Old Fashioned, served table-side and perfectly smooth. Seasonal spritzes, clarified juices, and house infusions round out a menu that’s serious but not showy.

The food is no slouch. The OG Double Cheeseburger, a holdover from the Deep Ellum days, is still a star—two smashed patties made from a brisket-chuck blend, layered with beer-caramelized onions, pickles, garlic aioli, and served on a brioche bun that balances sweetness with richness. It’s indulgent and satisfying, more than just bar food. Supporting acts include crisp Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, and other well-executed small plates, all designed to match the bar’s rhythm.
Happy hour—all day Monday and 3–6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday—is a draw of its own, with real value on cocktails, wine, and food.

HIDE’s service is attentive, the vibe is relaxed but smart, and the experience strikes a rare balance: a cocktail bar with food worth planning around, or a dinner spot where the drinks steal the show. Either way, it feels right at home on Greenville.
