Meat Fight Brings a Meaty Raffle to North Texas This September

North Texas’ meatiest nonprofit is back with another way to do good while having a ridiculously fun time. Meat Fight, the organization that has raised more than $3 million to support people living with multiple sclerosis, is hosting its annual Meat Raffle on Sunday, September 7, at Oak Highlands Brewery in Richardson from 3 to 6 p.m.

Admission is free, and the afternoon promises a rollicking mix of food, drink, and laughter. Guests can buy raffle tickets starting at just $5 for a shot at more than 100 prizes, many donated by some of Dallas’ most beloved chefs, pitmasters, bakers, and brewers. For $20, VIP raffle tickets unlock access to exclusive prizes—plus a complimentary OHB beer to toast the cause.

Expect everything from restaurant gift cards to a whole smoked ham, with contributions from Local Yocal Farm to Market, Oak Highlands Brewery, Lockwood Distilling Co., Far Out, Goldee’s BBQ, Lucia, Slow Bone Barbecue, Zoli’s NY Pizza, and many more North Texas favorites.

“We hope to raise $10,000 at this year’s raffle while we laugh our faces off at this ridiculous meat party for a cause,” says Meat Fight founder Alice Laussade. “We’ll have everything from chateaubriand to hot dogs and tacky cow paintings up for grabs. Bring a cooler and a good luck charm—it’ll be the best Sunday afternoon ever.”

The fun doesn’t stop once the raffle ends. After the final drawings, the party moves just down the street to Lockwood Distilling Co. for bonus giveaways, including the legendary “Mega Cooler” prizes: VIP tickets to November’s Meat Fight, $200 gift cards, and more, all pulled from the day’s non-winning tickets.
