The Playwright Pub Opens Nov 14th

The Playwright, Dallas’ newest Irish pub opening Wednesday, November 14 for lunch, dinner and late-night every night, offers a tried and true experience at One Arts Plaza in the heart of Dallas’ Arts District.

Brought to us by the same owners as The Crafty Irishman, the new pub offers hundreds of whiskeys and scotches and 50 beers on tap, including a healthy Irish selection. As for the menu, customary Irish dishes, such as Fish and Chips, Scotch Eggs, Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash and Guinness Ice Cream are just a few of the made-in-house items. Continue reading

Dazzle the Family with Cirque Dreams Holidaze

I know what you’re thinking. The whole fam-damily is coming for the holidays and you’ve got to keep them entertained before they get all grinchy. That’s why you should take them to Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Winspear Opera House.

The glittery set and costumes seem straight out of a child’s coloring book. A giant sparkly tree stands center stage. Here’s the plot: The ornaments dance off the tree and play while mere mortals are asleep. The audience gets a sneaky peak and it is magical. Continue reading
