Becks Prime Closing Greenville Location

We were sent word today that Becks Prime will be closing their Greenville Avenue location tomorrow. Beck’s is the home of the drive through burger and steak restaurant. The steaks and burgers are actually quite good, and still have two other locations in Dallas. One is on Oak Lawn, the other on Forest at Preston. The Dallas Burger Wars continue to mount at breakneck speed, leaving only the very best to survive. To make it in this North Texas city you need to bring your a-game, and I am looking directly in your peeps Houston. It’s been just over a single year since Becks Prime opened its quirky steakhouse with a drive through on Forest Lane near Preston in Dallas, and now the locations equal a solid three with more on the possible horizon. The latest incarnation is on Oak Lawn, just across the road from the very posh digs of the ultra elite fitness center, Equinox. After sampling most of the fare at Becks today, I can assuredly see the Parkie lovelies making way to the burger stop for some pretty fantastic non-fast fast food. Continue reading

Quest for the Ultimate Burger: Beck’s Prime

This week’s burger quest took our group to the recently opened Beck’s Prime. The location at the northwest corner of Preston and Forest is the 13th location of Beck’s Prime to open and the first in the Dallas area. The restaurant is a fast casual restaurant with a menu featuring mesquite grilled burgers, sandwiches, grilled meat plates, salads and steaks.
The Dallas location has taken over a former Jack in the Box and they did a good job of adding a patio as well making the inside warm and inviting with the open dining room and hardwood flooring. Continue reading
