Thanksgiving is upon us once again and all the gobblers are running for cover. To get you in the mood for a little fun and relaxation we asked some chefs around Dallas a few questions so we get our dinner cooked just right. We will run their answers both today and tomorrow, so check back often to see how your favorite chef weighs in on the holiday.

Where To Find A Good Steak In Dallas On The Cheap

Probably not a week goes by that a reader asks where to find a good haunch of beef. We invariably tell them one of the many steakhouses across the Dallas skyline depending on where they live. We love Nick and Sam’s. It could be that they pass out caviar like it was candy, and sincerely… isn’t it? We also love Pappas Brothers in all their wine goodness.

Tonight several craveDFW staffers will be at Del Frisco Double Eagle for a wine dinner. We love somm Jennifer Jaco and never bypass a moment where we can visit with her even for a few minutes. Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop House also is a staff favorite, and we love his cigar room. Plus you get Richard Chamberlain, and that always makes for fun evening. Continue reading →

Steak Battle This Weekend

Want to watch as two chefs go nose to nose in a heated grilling battle to the finish? All this Iron Chef business just gets me hungry, and what better way to satisfy that hunger than with beef. This Saturday watch two of our local grill-masters show their chops in the Walmart Choice Steak Challenge presented by Kingsford charcoal. Chefs Rodman Shields from Nick & Sam’s and Richard Chamberlain from Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop House will compete Saturday, April 28 at the Walmart located at 1521 N. Cockrell Hill Rd.
