You may be aware, Texas Chicken Fried Steak Day is October 26th. We will be digging up plenty of information on the subject, but here is the first restaurant to add one to their menu.
Chicken Fried Steak is a quintessential Texas dish, but it’s not something you often find on the menus at upscale steakhouses. III Forks, one of North Texas’ most iconic steakhouses, offers a twist on the traditional comfort food. The restaurant will celebrate National Chicken Fried Steak Day, which falls on Monday, Oct. 26, with its Chicken Fried Filet Mignon. The dish, which debuted on the menu earlier this year, sells for $20.
III Forks announces today its relocation to a new setting in DFW. III Forks Dallas will now serve guests in Frisco at 1303 Legacy Drive at the 121 interchange.
The Dallas Parkway location is closed permanently due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the crisis brought on by the current pandemic, III Forks has been unable to reach a mutually acceptable solution to a dispute with the California-based absentee landlord of the Dallas North Parkway location. Other III Forks locations in Austin TX, Chicago IL, Jacksonville FL and Palm Beach Gardens FL are unaffected by the relocation.
While many restaurants have begun offering more vegetable-forward dining, when vegetarians and vegans visit large traditional steakhouses, they’re often relegated to a bowl of pasta with steamed or sautéed vegetables.
Noted steakhouse III Forks recognizes that not all of their diners are meat eaters, but all of their diners do deserve an exceptional culinary experience. The steakhouse has launched an expanded vegetarian and vegan menu (attached) which highlights dishes that work for either dietary choice.
