Kenny Bowers Opens All His Restaurants

kenny

On March 19, Kenny Bowers sadly closed FIVE of his six restaurants, consolidating as much of his team as he could keep into Plano’s Kenny’s East Coast Pizza.

Bowers is thrilled to have a plan to reopen ALL SIX of his restaurants for to go and delivery service starting TODAY. I am so excited to share this nugget of good news which hopefully reflects our next steps in getting through this pandemic. Continue reading

Kenny Bowers has the Whole Enchilada

Kenny Bowers is a man who does everything in a BIG way!  Whether it was the  2010 launch of the El Jefe Grande, a 7-pound burger at Bowers’ Kenny’s Burger Joint or this year’s Bada Big Challenge, a 32” 10,000 calorie pizza at Kenny’s East Coast Pizza, all of the Kenny’s concepts produce food that is always more than generous.  And Chef Bowers isn’t afraid of getting a little cheesy, either. Kenny’s Smoke House For A Curiously Delectable Brunch

ken1.jpg

by Alex Gonzalez

With all of the eponymous Kenny Bowers restaurants in DFW (Kenny’s Burgers, Kenny’s Wood-Fired Grill, etc.), it can be hard to keep up. Luckily, Kenny’s Smoke House in The Shops at Legacy is cooking up a whole bunch of new brunch options that won’t soon be forgotten.

Kenny’s Smokehouse has been open in The Shops at Legacy since January of 2013, however, the brick-and-wood barbeque joint didn’t start serving brunch until about a year ago, when they had secretly begun testing out new brunch items that weren’t listed on the menu. Now, every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., guests can choose from six delectable brunch items. Continue reading

Kenny Is Smoking Meat In Plano

DSC08406by Steven Doyle

Kenny Bowers can play ball. Equipped only with his love for good food, Kenny has risen through the ranks as a restaurateur starting on Greenville Avenue so many years ago at Daddy Jack’s with his partner Jack Chaplin. This made much sense for the Boston renegade, if you speak to him long enough that accent is a dead giveaway to his roots. What Kenny did for chowda so many years ago he now does on the grill.

Bowers has created this empire that spans the North Dallas arena including Addison, Plano and Frisco. Each has a unique take on food he loves including the Wood Fire Grill with its steaks and seafood, Kenny’s Italian for its bodacious meatballs, and the Burger Joint for, well, the beautiful burgers. Now he has reason to celebrate in the Shops at Legacy in Plano with his very own smokehouse.   Continue reading

Kenny Is Opening His Smoke House Monday

kennyby Steven Doyle

Do you remember that time we told you that Kenny Bowers was going to open his Smoke House in the Shops at Legacy? If you read these pages often enough you know we love us some Kenny. The man has a knack for flavor and for style. He is a pretty cool cat in fact. All this is to say that the Smoke House is opening Monday.

Look for slow smoked meats and seafood, with full service, full bar and – wait for it – Grey Goose on tap. Go to 5760 Legacy Drive and follow the smoke.

Kenny’s Smoke House To Open In December At Shops Of Legacy

by Steven Doyle

We like us some Kenny Bowers. This is the mastermind behind many restaurants located in Addison and in Frisco. His Kenny’s Burger joint is the real deal, and we love the meatball at his Italian hook-up.

Back in May, Chef Kenny went on a road trip and brought us back snapshots from Memphis. Little did we know at the time that it was actually a mission to sniff out great barbecue. Now the man is ready to debut his latest restaurant, Kenny’s Smoke House which will be located in Plano, Texas.

The acclaimed chef and his business partners, Mike Hutchinson and Bob Stegall, will open Kenny’s Smoke House at The Shops of Legacy this winter.  The 2,700 square foot restaurant will showcase a variety of smoked meats as well as favorites that fans of the popular chef have come to expect.            Continue reading
