SPCA Pets of the Week: Bogart and Prissy

Bogartby Jennifer Thomas

Meet Bogart, an adorable 3-year-old Labrador Retriever mix. Bogart was transferred to the SPCA of Texas October 22, and he can’t wait to find his loving forever family. With his ear-to-ear smile and tail that won’t quit, Bogart will always be happy to see you and he promises to cheer you up, even your worst days. Bogart is a big, silly kid at heart with lots of energy to spare; he just loves to run around and chase toys outside. Did you know that you can bring your current, vaccinated pets to the shelter to meet potential pets like Bogart?

This sweet guy is already neutered, micro-chipped, Heartworm tested (he is negative) and has received his age-appropriate vaccinations. So what do you say? Come in and meet this precious boy today! #123250      Continue reading

SPCA Pets Of The Week: Joy And Shy

Meet Joy, a cute 5-year old, 21 pound Terrier mix. She has a tan and dark brown coat with white around her face and paws. Her name is perfect for her because she is a joy to be with. Her best feature is her smile – she’s a happy dog, and you can see it in her wagging tail and great big smile. Joy is also good at walking on the leash, which is another thing that makes her so happy — you can see it in the way she prances while you are walking her. She loves to be outside, running and playing. Her previous owners surrendered her to SPCA of Texas on October 23 because their health declined and they weren’t able to take care of her any longer.

Joy would prefer a home with no children under the age of 7 because they make her a little nervous.  Her previous owners trained her to live inside so she is house and crate trained, but after being in the shelter it may take her a couple of weeks to remember all of her housetraining in her new adoptive home.  Joy has been spayed, tested for heartworms (she is negative), micro-chipped, dewormed and received her age-appropriate vaccinations. She is sure to fill your life with lots of happiness, laughter, and joy! What are you waiting for? Come and meet her today. #29376.      Continue reading
