SPCA Pets Of The Week: Joy And Shy

Joy-29376-(1)JM

Meet Joy, a cute 5-year old, 21 pound Terrier mix. She has a tan and dark brown coat with white around her face and paws. Her name is perfect for her because she is a joy to be with. Her best feature is her smile – she’s a happy dog, and you can see it in her wagging tail and great big smile. Joy is also good at walking on the leash, which is another thing that makes her so happy — you can see it in the way she prances while you are walking her. She loves to be outside, running and playing. Her previous owners surrendered her to SPCA of Texas on October 23 because their health declined and they weren’t able to take care of her any longer.

Joy would prefer a home with no children under the age of 7 because they make her a little nervous.  Her previous owners trained her to live inside so she is house and crate trained, but after being in the shelter it may take her a couple of weeks to remember all of her housetraining in her new adoptive home.  Joy has been spayed, tested for heartworms (she is negative), micro-chipped, dewormed and received her age-appropriate vaccinations. She is sure to fill your life with lots of happiness, laughter, and joy! What are you waiting for? Come and meet her today. #29376.

Shy 121931-3CS

Meet Shy, a beautiful 2-year-old, 6-pound Domestic Short Hair mix who is ready to find a loving family to call her own. She has a lovely brown tabby coat with white and absolutely gorgeous green eyes.  Just like her name, Shy is a quiet when you first meet her, but once she gets to know you- she is as sweet as can be! She was transferred to the SPCA of Texas on September 24th from Tri-City Animal Shelter so that she can find her forever home.

Shy is a pretty laid back lady who enjoys spending her days lounging in a comfy bed, napping, and gazing out the window.  You’re more than welcome to join her in any of those activities.  Shy is a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because she’s been waiting for her new, loving family for more than 30 days, and she has a special lower adoption price. She has been spayed, FeLV/FIV tested (negative), micro-chipped, and received her age-appropriate vaccination. Don’t wait another second to add plenty of love, laughter, cuddles, and purrs to your life.  Come and meet Shy today. #121931
