Tarrant Area Food Bank and Harvesting in Mansfield change the time of their Thanksgiving food distribution

Harvesting in Mansfield will be hosting a mega mobile event Monday, November 21st from 9a-Noon; this is a NEW time change than what was previously reported.

As families continue to struggle financially through the current inflation crisis and grocery store shelves remained sparse with product due to supply chain issues, the Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) wants to make it easier on those who are still struggling to provide food on the table.

Tarrant Area Food Bank’s Empty Bowls This Friday, 4/29; 11-1pm

Tarrant Area Food Bank’s (TAFB’s) Empty Bowls is back and in-person.  Out of pre-caution during the pandemic, Tarrant Area Food Bank had to postpone one of its signature fundraising events.  The event has always been supported by the Fort Worth artisan community for over 18 years and with its return, there promises to be new restaurants to sample, hand-designed bowls to choose from and entertainment from the FW Artisan community itself.

NEW Tarrant Area Food Bank West in Parker County to Showcase “Food Bank of the Future” Facility

The Tarrant Area Food Bank opens its new facility, TAFB West in Parker County, with a grand opening celebration, Thursday, April 14 from 1-2p. The ribbon-cutting and community event will welcome community leaders and key dignitaries who represent the community at large and show support for the non-profit celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2022.

Tarrant Area Food Bank to Host Emergency Food Distribution at Their Warehouse Facility Sunday, February 6 from 2-4p; Calls for Volunteers 

Due to the recent winter storm, it has been a challenge to get food out to families in need across our 13-county service area. To support our partner agencies and families in need, TAFB will host a special, emergency direct to client mobile distribution on Sunday, February 6, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the TAFB Distribution Center in Fort Worth. Precautionary measures are being taken with the City of Fort Worth to help facilitate a safe drive-thru event.

Tarrant Area Food Bank’s Mega Mobile Markets Continue into November

In order to meet the increased food demand that many communities are facing, TAFB will continue to hold multiple Mega Mobile Markets per week. This week, the markets will be held Wednesday through Saturday in various locations across the Tarrant area.

This has been made possible thanks to the Texas Department of Emergency Management, who graciously deployed members of the Army National Guard to TAFB in order to increase the productivity of the Mega Mobile Markets. Each family will receive approximately 100 pounds of high-quality produce, meat, dairy and groceries.

Tarrant Area Food Bank Serves the Fort Worth Community with Their Mega Mobile Market

TAFB’s Mega Mobile Market, which is a large-scale food distribution event that will be held weekly through the month of November. Each family will receive approximately 100 pounds of high-quality produce, meat, dairy and groceries. Last Friday, TAFB held a successful Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium, which served 1,700 families. The goal for this week’s return market is to serve 1,750 families.
