In order to meet the increased food demand that many communities are facing, TAFB will continue to hold multiple Mega Mobile Markets per week. This week, the markets will be held Wednesday through Saturday in various locations across the Tarrant area.
This has been made possible thanks to the Texas Department of Emergency Management, who graciously deployed members of the Army National Guard to TAFB in order to increase the productivity of the Mega Mobile Markets. Each family will receive approximately 100 pounds of high-quality produce, meat, dairy and groceries.
TAFB’s Mega Mobile Market, which is a large-scale food distribution event that will be held weekly through the month of November. Last Friday, TAFB held a successful Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium, which served 1,700 families. The goal for this week’s return market is to serve 1,750 families.
Empty Bowls, Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB)’s signature fundraising event, returns for its 18th consecutive year on Tuesday, March 17. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth.
