In order to meet the increased food demand that many communities are facing, TAFB will continue to hold multiple Mega Mobile Markets per week. This week, the markets will be held Wednesday through Saturday in various locations across the Tarrant area.
This has been made possible thanks to the Texas Department of Emergency Management, who graciously deployed members of the Army National Guard to TAFB in order to increase the productivity of the Mega Mobile Markets. Each family will receive approximately 100 pounds of high-quality produce, meat, dairy and groceries.
Here is the schedule for this week’s Mega Mobile Markets:
11/4/2020 (Wednesday) 9:00 am Arlington Charities- 811 Secretary Dr, Arlington, TX 76015
11/5/2020 (Thursday) 9:00 am Harvesting in Mansfield- 150 S 6th Ave, Mansfield, TX 76063
11/6/2020 (Friday) 8-11am Herman Clark Stadium- 5201 CA Roberson Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76119
11/7/2020 (Saturday) 9:00 am Former Toys R’ Us Parking Lot- 7607 W Fwy, Fort Worth, TX 76108
*NOTE*: TAFB’s usual Tuesday location at Southcliff Church has been CANCELLED due to Election Day.
All markets will be open while supplies last except for Friday’s market at Herman Clark Stadium, which will last the full three hours.
TAFB continuously strives to provide access to nutritious food to as many people as possible across 13 counties in North Texas. TAFB is committed to serving the Tarrant Area community in response to COVID-19. With the Mega Mobile Market being proven as an effective distribution model and Army National Guard being deployed to TAFB, food can be distributed at a more rapid rate to more communities. The goal is to spread the word about these events as far as possible to ensure that no family goes hungry.
