Ava Rocks A Cheese Dinner As Boulevardier Opens

Boulevardier opens its doors to the public tonight with great promise of fantastic French bistro cuisine in the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff. As previously reported, Boulevardier is owned and operated by the chefs at Restaurant Ava, Randall Copeland and Nathan Tate, as well as wine junkies and owners of Veritas Wine Room, Brooks and Bradley Anderson.

The kitchen staff will include chef Tate along with Ava chef de cuisine and Charlie Palmer alumni Taylor Kearney. Eddie Eakin will be mixing it up behind the bar with some terrific cocktails.              

For the most part Copeland will be holding down the fort in Rockwall offering up is own special brand of farm to table cuisine. This past weekend Copeland hosted a cheese paired dinner along with cheese-monger Ali Morgan from Scardello.

This was particularly wonderful and we saved some scenes from that dinner to share with you today. This should give you a handful of reasons to visit Rockwall, which is just mere minutes from downtown Dallas.

Fresh Fig and Black Plum Jam, Fresh Zucchini Bread, Local Greens Paired with Caprino Royale Texas Bloombonnet Goat

Lobster Ravioli, Sugar Snap Peas and Jerusalem Artichoke served with Holzhofer Rolf Beeler

Wood Roasted Loin Chop and Braised Black Pepper Bacon, Blue Cheese Gnocchi with Roasted Beets

Braised Beef Shortrib with Quadrello Polenta, Swiss Chard and Brunello Jus

Randall’s Apple Pie with Weibe Dairy Cheddar Cheese
