Jon Bonnell is the quintessential Fort Worth host and chef-owner of his eponymous restaurant Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine located at 4259 Bryant Irvin Road. Bonnell serves up wild game, steaks and seafood at his restaurant to a hungry city eager for that type of cuisine. Bonnel’s next venture is Waters which is located at 2901 Crockett Street in the West 7th shops in Fort Worth and will serve up all things seafood, featuring sustainable seafood.
One of the features of the restaurant will be a 28-seat oyster bar and lunch counter, playing into the huge demand for raw oysters this year.
You can nab an early look at the restaurant this Thursday evening, March 21st, 6-9pm, as Bonnell hosts a sneak preview party that will offer 14 different passed appetizers, wine and an ultra premium raffle. The restaurant is using this opportunity to raise funds for Kay Mackenson, the clinic in Haiti that Bonnell’s brother Ric started to treat kids with diabetes. Bonnell stated that the mortality rate for these children is roughly 100%.
