Test Your Craft Beer Skills At The Gin Mill May 8

The Gin Mill hosts a blind beer tasting Wednesday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. hosted by Stone Brewing Co.  from San Diego, CA and local brewer Franconia Brewery of McKinney, TX.  Test your beer knowledge and tasting skills.  Cost is $30 per person and includes light bites to cleanse the palate and 16 varieties of beer. 

The event will offer each participant the opportunity to test their skills in beer discernment as they taste their way through sixteen four-ounce samples in four rounds. Cheese and crackers will also be offered. The first round will focus on flavor identification. The second round will ask participants to identify lagers vs. ales. In the third round, they will choose the correct style of the given samples. The final round will require the ability to identify specific brands of IPA.   After every round, top performers will be awarded with giveaway items to be provided by Gin Mill, Stone and Franconia.

The Gin Mill is located at 1921 North Henderson.  Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 4pm-2am, Friday 3pm-2am, Saturday and Sunday 11am-2am.  The kitchen is open until 11pm Sunday – Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
