There are a few terrific bakeries around the Dallas area, and one we enjoy for its daily surprises is Village Baking Company. If you travel the various farmers markets around the city you will find their fresh baked goods being offered, or you can go to the source which is hidden at 5531 E University.
Here you may take in fresh-from-the-oven goods such as pains au levain or a delicious chocolate croissant. So many delicious choices to make. Now you can pick up homemade jams and freshly churned butter made from farm fresh whole cream. These new choices go very fast and in hot demand, so go early for the best selection. The last time we made it into the shop we found the last stick of butter.
New hours for the store has Village Baking Company open daily from 7am to 3pm.
