The 2nd Annual Cowboy Barbeque Cook Off is September 14 and is sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3108 (Dallas, TX) and Lone Star Beer, the national beer of Texas. Beer and BBQ is a match made in heaven. This is an unsanctioned, amateur barbeque competition to benefit the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC) of San Antonio, Texas.
The $10 Admission to the event allows you to be the judge in the Peoples Choice Voting and free samples from BBQ Teams. Plus they will be selling $2 Lone Star and Lone Star Light all day.
Tickets may be purchased online or at the door the day of the event. You can also register your BBQ team at the same website. Entry fee is $25 per team and the deadline is September 6, 2013. There will also be a bake sale and raffle throughout the event.
