Symphony of Chefs Event Feb 24

The KidLinks Foundation is hosting its fourth annual “Symphony of Chefs” fine dining event on February 24, 2014 at the Hilton Anatole, Dallas. Each year the event has sold out, providing funding of therapeutic music programs for special needs children in North Texas. The KidLinks Foundation has raised more than $3.5 million at its two annual events since its inception in 2001.

Symphony of Chefs attendees will experience an evening of fine dining like no other, starting with a cocktail reception followed by renowned area chefs each preparing a five-course dinner tableside exclusively for a table of 10. The chefs will create their own menu, select complementing wines, and interact with table guests while preparing their gastronomical masterpiece. Guests will also experience a once-in-a-lifetime musical performance by members of the Dallas Chamber Symphony. World-renowned musicians Kazuhiro Takagi (DCS Concertmaster), Oliver Schlaffer (Principal Cellist) and Alex McDonald (Van Cliburn & DCS International Piano Competition finalist) will perform throughout the evening.

The event is open to the public with tables for 10 ranging in price from $5,000 to $15,000, and a limited number of individual seats are available for $1,000. In addition to ticket sales, money will also be raised through a live “Chef Auction” – while everyone is cooking and eating, chefs will auction themselves off for a private, in-home dining experience.

For more than 14 years, The KidLinks Foundation has been improving the emotional and physical needs of children by directly funding therapeutic music initiatives in Texas. All proceeds from Symphony of Chefs will fund several North Texas-based music programs for children that are critically ill or have developmental delays. These organizations include SMU/Hugworks Music Therapy Program, Children’s Medical Center Music Therapy Program, Cook Children’s Medical Center, Ft. Worth, and Hurst-based Hugworks.
