You may know Robert Lyford, the talented chef-owner at Patina Green Home and Market on McKinney’s historic market square. Lyford is a classically trained chef from San Francisco’s California Culinary Academy and is heavily influenced by what is available at local farms and ranches. His menu changes daily depending on what is fresh and available.
The Lyford’s are reaching out to the community to offer special cooking classes that will be held each month through July in the kitchens of the historic Luscombe Farm in Anna, Texas. The first class is scheduled for Thursday, April 3 from 6 to 8:30pm where attendees will focus on a vegetarian meatless meal using seasonal produce. Complimentary wine and iced tea is available during class time.
Other classes are devoted to the Spring Harvest, Summer Harvest and Preserves. To find out more about these classes check out the Patina Green website, or call 972.548.9141. Full payment of $75 per class is required when making the reservation.
If you have not made the trek to McKinney, Texas to check out Patina Green, a true treat awaits.
