Local Restaurateur Makes Forbes 2015 30 Under 30 List

Dallas native Hunter Pond, owner of East Hampton Sandwich Co, made Forbes 2015 30 Under 30 List in Food & Drink. Pond, who makes one of the best sandwiches in Dallas, has multiple locations across DFW, with the goal of opening a total of seven by 2017.

After graduating from college with a degree in management, Pond set his sights on law school. Always more interested in business than law, Pond saw a void in the marketplace for a sandwich concept that focused on crafting the ingredients between the bread, and not just the bread alone. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he decided to disregard all discerning advice and leave law school to venture into the restaurant industry. At the young age of 25, Pond put his business savvy to the test by opening the original East Hampton Sandwich Co. in Dallas’ Snider Plaza in 2012.

You may recall our First Look article soon after Pond opened the Snider Plaza location. And you may recall (and hopefully tasted) his pretty amazing lobster roll.

Congratulations Hunter Pond!
