One of our very favorite patisseries is Haute Sweets at 10230 East Northwest Highway in East Dallas. This fairly new bakery is steeped up with delicious pastries such as macarons, specialty cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. They also feature some tasty paleo and vegan items for those so inclined. Each month Haute Sweets rolls out their red carpet and features Coffee & Beignets on starting at 10am continuously until they sell out. The last beignet event for 2015 is this weekend, Saturday, December 19, 2015.
The event has grown so large that they pitch a tent in front of their shop to add more seating and to make it easier to eat the powdered sugar laden treats. They also feature locally owned and operated Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters with the traditional New Orleans beignets and candied bacon on the side for an additional cost.
Arrive early as the line can be tremendous. And they will sell out!
