Veteran’s Day Free Meals and Other Veteran’s Day Freebies for 2016

Below are all the popular restaurants and other retailers that are giving away free meals, discounts, and other freebies to veterans on Veterans Day (Friday, November 11, 2016).

If you’re not seeing your favorite restaurant from last year, they may still be participating but haven’t gotten back to me with their 2016 information. This list is updated many times a day, so keep checking back for more information as Veterans Day gets closer.

Important:  Deals offered may require military ID or a coupon. Please check with the participant’s website before ordering.

Abacus and Jasper’s restaurants: Every veteran who dines in one of the restaurants will receive a complimentary entrée with a valid military ID. Restaurants participating in this initiative are Abacus in Dallas, as well as Jasper’s locations in Plano and Richardson.

Plucker’s: veterans dine free. Meal includes entree, side and non-alcoholic drink. Value up to $15.

At Norma’s Cafe this  Veterans Day all veterans and current military members can receive a complimentary breakfast from a special Veterans Day menu.

Emporium Pies is offering 20% off a slice of  pies and a free coffee to all Veterans and service members on Veterans Day. This offer is valid at both our Bishop Arts and McKinney Square locations. Proof of service required.

Bread Winners Bakery & Cafe:  would like to invite active Military personnel and retired Veterans to join them on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11 at all locations. Those who have served in any branch of the Armed Forces can show a Military ID to receive a complimentary entree. This offer is for dine-in business only and not valid on to-go orders.

Hash House A Go Go in Plano is hosting a “Show Us Your Ink” promotion Monday, November 7, from 8am-4pm, where guests receive 25% off their meal when they show off their tattoo/s. Proceeds will be donated to the Dallas-based non-profit, F.A.R.M. – Farmers Assisting Returning Military.

Pei Wei is supporting local veterans nonprofit Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) by commissioning an Asian-inspired art installation made solely from fresh produce. The art installation will be on display at the Dallas Farmers Market Nov. 11- Nov. 13, and for every social share via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter of the art installation using the designated hashtag #DonateWithPurpose, Pei Wei will donate $1 to F.A.R.M.

El Fenix invites all active-duty and retired members of the U.S. military to choose from three different meals – each compliments of the originator of Tex-Mex cuisine.

Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar is inviting these brave men and women in for a free meal on Veterans Day.  All active-duty and retired members of the U.S. military will receive a complimentary ¼-lb. Snuffer’s burger of their choice with an order of small fries or onion strings. Valid military ID or proof of service required. Not valid in combination with other coupons, offers or discounts. Beverage, tax and tip not included. Add-ons extra. Valid for dine-in only on 11/11/16.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, Mexican Sugar and Velvet Taco are stepping up to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces this Veterans Day. On Friday, Nov. 11, active-duty, reserve and retired members of the U.S. military will be recognized at these three innovative restaurant concepts:

 Whiskey CakeVeterans enjoy a free slice of Whiskey Cake.

 Velvet TacoVeterans receive a free order of Red Curry Coconut Queso.

 Mexican SugarVeterans enjoy a free slice of Chocolate Avocado Cake.

Main Event is honoring all Veterans this Veterans Day with free bowling! From 8 am – 3 pm, enjoy a FREE hour of bowling with up to four guests at one of their many locations.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar is humbled to give back to the brave men and women that represent our country’s armed forces this Veteran’s Day. On November 11, every Hopdoddy location will give 50% off to all parties joined by a veteran, active or inactive member of the armed forces.

Dallas-area Houlihan’s will offer active military and veterans one free entrée ($15 maximum value) with the purchase of an additional entrée.

In recognition of Veteran’s Day, all restaurants owned and operated by Consolidated Restaurant Operations will offer a complimentary meal to all veterans and active duty military personnel on Friday, November 11.  Restaurant offerings vary slightly by brand, and include the following:

Luna Grill is offering a special free appetizer offer at all Dallas/Fort Worth area locations for those with military ID on Friday November 11.

Visit a participating Chili’s on Friday, November 11, 2016, to get your Veterans Day free meal if you are a veteran or on active military duty.

Veterans and active-duty military can start their Veterans Day off with a free breakfast at Krispy Kreme that includes a doughnut and a small coffee. No purchase, ID, or coupon is necessary.

Veterans and active duty military can stop into any participating Red Robin location on Friday, November 11 to get a free Red’s Tavern Double burger and Bottomless Fries.

Stop by Denny’s on Friday, November 11, 2016, and all active, non-active, and retired military personnel can get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam Breakfast from 5:00 AM to Noon.

Stop into any Outback Steakhouse on November 11, 2016 to get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage. This offer is for all military personnel that have military ID.

Active duty military, reserve, and military veterans can stop by Red Lobster and get a free appetizer or dessert on Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11, 2016.

BJ’s will be giving free meals to veterans on Friday, November 11, 2016, valued up to $12.95. Here are More Details on the BJ’s Veterans Day 

Texas Roadhouse will be giving away Veterans Day free meals for lunch on Friday, November 11, 2016 to active, former, or retired military.

TGI Fridays will be having free lunch for all veterans and active-duty military on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

If you are a veteran or active military member, you can stop by a Carrabba’s near you and get a free appetizer of your choice from Monday, November 7 through Sunday, November 13.

Little Caesars Pizza is giving free pizza to all US Armed Forces veterans and active military members this Veterans Day between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Individuals who have served in the military, or are currently serving in the military, can have a free meal at IKEA between November 7 and November 11, 2016.

Stop by a participating California Pizza Kitchen location on Friday, November 11, 2016, to choose a pizza, full size salad, or pasta from the special Veterans Day Menu when you dine-in.

On The Border is giving veterans and active duty military members a free Create Your Own Combo meal where they’ll get to choose 2 or 3 selections of soup, salad, tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, and other classics.

Buffalo Wild Wings is having their “Wings For Heroes” promotion on Veterans Day this year, which is November 11. All day on Friday, veterans and active duty military get a free order of wings and a side of fries.

Cotton Patch Cafe is giving out free Veterans Day meals to veterans and active military on November 11, 2016. You can get a free full-size chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken as long as you bring along a form of military ID to your local Cotton Patch Cafe on Veterans Day.

Zoës Kitchen is another way veterans can get a free meal on Veterans Day. They just have to show their military ID or DD214.

Twin Peaks is honoring veterans and active military with a free meal on November 11 for Veterans Day. Individuals can pick a free menu item from their Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Menu.

Any veteran or active military member can get a free burger and fries at a Grub Burger Bar location on Friday, November 11, for Veterans Day.

Red Hot & Blue Restaurants – Guests get one free meal of up to $10 value on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday surrounding Veterans Day, which is the 9th, 10th, and 11th of November. This offer is valid only if you purchase a second meal of the same or greater price, plus two drinks. It’s also dine-in only and does not include tax or gratuity.

The Take A Vet to Eat promotion at Spaghetti Warehouse gives a BOGO lasagne or spaghetti coupon that’s valid November 11 through November 13. You can find the coupon and location information at the Spaghetti Warehouse website.

Stop into Hooters on November 11 to pick something off their Hooters Veterans Day Menu when you purchase a beverage. Military ID or proof of service is required.

Uno Pizzeria & Grill thanks military members for their service by offering a free meal or individual pizza on Veterans Day, November 11, with the purchase of a meal or pizza. This deal does not require a coupon of any type, but you do need to show valid military or veteran ID.

And 7-Eleven is giving away free Slurpee drinks.
