You may have heard of the legendary Sprinkles Cupcake ATM located just outside the Sprinkles shop in Preston Center near Northwest Highway. This fun device is where you can get your cupcake on in the middle of the night when the city appears to be abandoned and free of delightful pastries.
If you have ever visited the Sprinkles in Dallas, you no doubt experienced the insanely long lines which often spill out onto the sidewalk just outside the doorway. Wait no further.
The cupcake ATM operates much like your favorite cash dispensing machine with the exception that this one holds up to 600 freshly baked cupcakes that are checked and refilled every few hours by Sprinkles bakers. It is a pretty high tech device that allows you to select from a vast array of flavors and you can actually watch the cupcake as the servo arm grabs your pastry and slides it to your side of the machine.
The cupcakes cost $4 and any uneaten cakes are donated to charities (Metrocare Services, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and Catholic Charities of Dallas). This is news that is all too sweet.
