The Up and Comers Small Makers Awards is Foxtrot’s first-ever initiative to find the next great brands in food, beverage, wellness, self-care and more. Up and Comers furthers Foxtrot’s long-standing commitment to supporting local businesses by discovering the next best innovative and creative makers to bring to its communities. Foxtrot’s stores have acted as an incubator for small and local businesses by giving them the chance to test products on their shelves. Building off this approach, Up and Comers aims to help small business owners gain exposure for their product and provide them an opportunity for new business in a time where they may have trouble with distribution and getting off of the ground.
Momo Shack Dumplings was voted on by over 5,000 people as the Dallas winner. Foxtrot customers can now expect to see a variety of Momo Shack Dumplings’ fresh frozen dumpling product called Momos @ Home on shelves at both Foxtrot Dallas locations and also online for sale.
Momo Shack Dumplings’ Co-Founder, Daniel Flores says “We applied to Foxtrot’s Up and Comers program because we believed that if we won, it could offer an awesome foundation for growth for our small company. Their support via both marketing and onsite/online sales is incredibly exciting for us and the future of our brand. We are blown away by the fact that we won and appreciate the support tremendously.”

Momo Shack Dumplings specializes in Nepalese style dumplings which are also known as “momos” in Nepal along with many South Asian countries such as Tibet, India, Bhutan and more. The momos are typically filled with an array of different finely chopped vegetables, mixed with a protein and seasoned with various aromatics like cumin, coriander, ginger garlic paste and more. To top it off, they are also paired with Chef Minu’s secret sauce. The bright orange sauce has a bit of a spicy kick to it and pairs perfectly with the filling
