Dallas has always been good to us with entrepreneurial restaurant owners busily making plans to keep us busy at CraveDFW, and the rest of the public racing to make reservations. We made a list, some we’ve written about, and we are sure you will be anxious to see these restaurants open.
This is a short list and have had wiffs of many more that we will clue you all in on as we gather information.
Radici From Tiffany Derry, the same chef that brought you Roots Southern Kitchen (our fave). She is promising big Italian fare in the same Farmers Branch area that has become a hotbed of restaurant activity that resides on the sacred ground where I first played Little League.

Goldie’s Lake Highlands Brandon Hays will be in the weeds this year as he opens several restaurants including Goldie’s which promises to be a classic American-style restaurant that will serve familiars such as steak, the big salad, pastas, and chicken. Look for this future hot spot to reside at Walnut Hill Lane and Audelia.
Caffe Lucca Jason Garrett, former quarterback Babe Laufenberg, and Dallas Italian aficionado Julian Barsotti will collaborate on this casual coffee and Italian restaurant on Oak Lawn. We’ve seen, but hardly spoken to Babe throughout the years and know him to be a terrific foodie type. And Julian, well, is a god amongst men.
Fortunate Son Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House owners Matt Tobin and Josh Yingling have their way with Italian by showing love to Credence. Look for new digs in the same area of Garland as their other concerns.
Joey’s NorthPark Center We’ve written about Joey’s and it is from a Canadian restaurant group that will try a little bit of this and a little bit of that. It sounds terrific and we need no reason than to order more Sea Bass.

Le PasSage You didn’t think French chef and former Mansion exec Bruno Davaillon was on his laurels at Knox Bistro. Bruno, along with the brilliant restaurateur Stephan Courseau (of Georgie, Le Bilboquet, and Knox Bistro in Dallas) is partnering to create what will surely be the restaurant of 2024 with this Viet-French restaurant (recall, the French occupied Vietnam and had a major influence on that cuisine).
Sí Sí Sí More of Brandon Hays (we love him) but this will be a tequila hide-out on Fitzhugh.

Knife Italian From the brilliant mind and Michelin-starred restauranteur John Tesar will enter spaces at the Four Seasons (soon, Ritz-Carlton) to tantalize and otherwise secure his world (Dallas, at least) domination of restaurants with this Italian-inspired steakhouse
