After 40 years of serving the Dallas community, Lawry’s The Prime Rib will permanently close its doors this March. The decision stems from the sale of the building to a new owner. The last day of operations will be announced at a later time and the restaurant will continue normal operations until then. Lawry’s will provide outplacement assistance to co-workers to help them transition to other opportunities.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib has been a staple of the Dallas culinary scene, known for its timeless elegance, exceptional hospitality and the finest prime rib dining experience. Over the years, the restaurant has become a beloved destination for special occasions, celebrations and business gatherings.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Lawry’s in Dallas,” said Ryan O’Melveny Wilson, CEO of Lawry’s Restaurants Inc. “We want to sincerely thank the Dallas community and our dedicated staff for its outpouring of support throughout the last four decades.”
He continued, “As we enter the fourth generation of our family-owned business, our unwavering commitment to growth and the enduring relevance of our 85-year-old brand remains. While one chapter closes, new doors are opening as we direct efforts on domestic and international expansion, bringing our timeless concept to new cities around the world.”
