From paintings to prints, sculpture to photography – there is something for every taste, space and budget – all within a relaxed and buzzy atmosphere. Early bird tickets are on sale now and available HERE.
“When looking at which U.S. city would be the best fit for our first national location outside of New York City, Austin was at the top of our list,” said Cori Teague, Director of Affordable Art Fair Austin. “We felt a strong connection to the city and saw the demand for contemporary art at an affordable price. The Austin community has an appetite to learn, have new cultural experiences, and connect with the local creative scene in a new and exciting way, and we’re here to do that.”
The Affordable Art Fair is dedicated to creating an accessible, vibrant, and approachable entry point to the contemporary art market for enthusiasts, collectors, and the art-curious alike. When visiting the fair, guests will have access to thousands of artworks under one roof and a chance to speak to the experts and learn about the art-buying world through panel discussions, tours, and workshops. The fair even produces educational workshops for families. Austin-based participating artists and galleries include B. Shawn Cox (represented by Davis Gallery and Framing), America Martin (represented by Wally Workman Gallery), and Adrian Armstrong (represented by Flatbed Press). Other participating galleries include McLennon Pen Co. (Austin, TX), Dimmitt Gallery (Houston, TX), and Sage Studio (Austin, TX).
“Our goal is to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where attendees are encouraged to ask questions and take home an artwork that perfectly fits their personality and space,” said Cristina Salmastrelli, U.S. Regional Managing Director. “Our family of galleries will be with visitors every step of their art-buying journey. From helping potential buyers discover new artists to guiding guests through choosing the best artwork for their space to giving framing advice and wrapping their purchase so it’s ready to be taken home the very same day.”
Since its launch in 1999, the Affordable Art Fair has welcomed more than 3.1 million visitors worldwide across New York, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Hamburg, Stockholm, Singapore, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Sydney. Alongside Austin, 2024 will see new Affordable Art Fairs opening in Brisbane and Berlin. The Affordable Art Fair team looks forward to launching the fair in Austin and becoming the annual highlight of the city’s rapidly growing contemporary art scene.
