Mockingbird Station is thrilled to announce that Angelika Film Center & Café will host the upcoming inaugural DIFF SHORTS Film Festival, taking place August 23 through August 25. This exciting festival aims to elevate the art of short films and celebrate the talented filmmakers behind them. Attendees of the 2024 DIFF SHORTS Film Festival will have access to the featured 15 film blocks with more than 100 films, industry panels, daily red carpets, and filmmaker receptions.
The festival provides a unique opportunity to connect with filmmakers through Q&As and panel discussions, learn about their creative processes, and be inspired by their stories shown on the big screen and shared at the festival. Awards at the DIFF SHORTS Film Festival 2024 will be given for Best Short Film, Best Texas Film, Best Music Video, Best Student Film, Best Documentary Film, and Best First-Time Filmmaker. Festival passes are available for $75. Students with a current ID and seniors 65 and older may purchase a festival pass for $50.
