Tarrant Area Food Bank Teams up with Amazon

Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) and Amazon are teaming up for a special media event on Thursday, November 21, 2024, to spotlight their innovative Home Delivery program, which helps provide food to neighbors who are homebound, disabled, or otherwise facing food insecurity. The event will demonstrate how this unique collaboration is making a direct impact by using Amazon’s delivery network to ensure that families in need receive nutritious food directly to their homes, especially important during the holiday season.

A key moment of the event will be the presentation of a $75,000 check from Amazon to TAFB, a generous contribution that will provide 375,000 meals for individuals and families struggling with hunger in the community.

The partnership between Amazon and TAFB exemplifies a strong commitment to addressing food insecurity, particularly during the critical holiday period when many families face heightened challenges. This event will not only showcase the positive outcomes of the Home Delivery program but also highlight the importance of community partnerships in alleviating hunger and providing support to those who need it most.

Spokespersons from both Amazon and Tarrant Area Food Bank will be present to speak about the program and its impact. The event will take place at 1:30 PM at TAFB’s facility located at 2600 Cullen Street, Fort Worth, TX, 76107. By leveraging Amazon’s vast delivery infrastructure, the Home Delivery program helps bridge the gap for those who might otherwise struggle to access food, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry during the holiday season. This collaboration is a vital step toward a more food-secure future for neighbors in need.
