Musume to Open in Frisco

Rock Libations, the Dallas-based hospitality group known for its innovative culinary concepts, has announced plans to open its famed Asian/sushi restaurant – Musume – in Frisco, Texas. Set to debut in July 2025, Musume will be located at The Star in Frisco at 3625 The Star Boulevard, Suite 315, and promises to bring an unrivaled Japanese dining experience to greater North Dallas/Collin County.

Spread across 6,000 square feet, Musume Frisco will feature indoor and outdoor dining spaces that merge Texan elements with Japanese aesthetics. Design features include a private Tatami room with sunken seating for intimate 10-person gatherings, two bars (inside & outside) with bar seating + lounge space, a 20+ seat sushi bar, custom sake displays, zen lighting, moss and tree installations, “floating” banquettes, sake millwork, warm wood accents, and chiseled stonework. Thematic restrooms — Midnight in Tokyo, Sensual Sento, and Animal Instincts — are also being integrated to add an element of surprise and intrigue.

Musume’s expansive menu will be comprised of sushi and sashimi made with fresh fish flown in daily from Japan, authentic Asian cuisine offered in both small and large plates, vegetarian and vegan dishes, salads, tempura, tableside ramen noodles, and six-or-eight course Omakase curated daily. It will feature fan-favorites like the Robusuta Roll with lobster and tempura shrimp, tableside ramen noodles, and the Black Cod Misozuke marinated for 72 hours, as well as new menu highlights exclusive to the Frisco location.

The new Musume in Frisco will also boast North Dallas’ largest selection of premium sake with more than 120 labels, the region’s largest collection of Japanese whisky with more than 60 offerings, an extensive wine list, and an Asian-inspired artisanal crafted cocktail menu.

“We are thrilled to bring Musume to Frisco and offer the greater North Dallas community an extraordinary Japanese dining experience,” said Josh Babb, co-owner of Musume and co-founder of Rock Libations. “From our fresh fish flown in daily and tableside handmade Ramen to offering the most extensive selections of premium sake and Japanese whisky in the country, every detail will be crafted to provide an unforgettable culinary experience. We look forward to welcoming Frisco and its surrounding communities to dine and drink with us this summer!”
