Birdcall is Expanding to McKinney with a New Fast-Casual Chicken Spot

Birdcall, the fast-casual craft chicken chain known for its all-natural chicken, award-winning sandwiches, and more, is set to open its second Dallas-Fort Worth location in McKinney! The new restaurant will open its doors on Monday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m. at 4702 West University Drive.

To celebrate, the first 50 customers will have the chance to win free chicken sandwiches for a year! Plus, Birdcall will donate sales from the grand opening events to Streetside Showers, a local organization providing mobile hot showers and hygiene care for those in need, and the Baylor Scott & White Foundation, which supports community health initiatives.

“We’re thrilled about bringing Birdcall to McKinney,” says CEO Mark Lohmann. “This opening reflects our commitment to meeting the incredible demand from the DFW community for high-quality food, a welcoming atmosphere, and an unforgettable dining experience.”

The McKinney location promises a vibrant dining experience with outdoor patio seating, a drive-thru, free arcade games, a bar, and self-serve ordering kiosks. Plus, you can enjoy local flavor with stunning art by Dallas-based muralist Mari Pohlman.

A Mouthwatering Menu

Birdcall’s made-to-order menu features award-winning crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, including crowd favorites like:

  • The Southern: Pimento cheese and southern coleslaw
  • The Rancher: Bacon onion jam, white cheddar, and Bird-B-Q Sauce
  • The Nashville Hot Deluxe: Bacon, pepper-jack, tomato, lettuce, and herb mayo
  • The Grilled Chicken Caesar: A classic twist on a sandwich

For plant-based eaters, the Veggie Sandwich offers a crispy animal-free cutlet with kimchi coleslaw, sriracha aioli, and cilantro.

The menu also includes sliders, hand-cut tenders & nuggets, and specialty salads, along with nine sides like fries, tater tots, loaded tots, and coleslaw. And don’t forget to dip your meal in one (or more!) of their 15 house-made sauces.

At Birdcall, community is key. The restaurant gives 1% back to local nonprofits and organizations as part of their ongoing commitment. From meal donations to school supply drives and hosting nonprofit nights, Birdcall is dedicated to supporting its neighbors.

“Community lies at the heart and soul of everything we do,” says Lohmann. “We’re all about integrating with our communities and supporting them through programs like these.”

This McKinney location is just the beginning for Birdcall’s growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. With plans to open 8-10 more locations, including potential spots in Uptown, Southlake, Denton, and University Park (Fort Worth).

Get ready for an unforgettable dining experience at Birdcall McKinney – where amazing food, community, and fun come together.
