Galleria Dallas has long been a favorite destination for families across the DFW area. With its year-round Ice Skating Center, fun kids’ Play Place, live performances, and indoor entertainment, it’s a perfect place to beat the Texas heat. This summer, the mall is ramping up the fun with exciting events and activities for all ages.
Cool Off at the Ice Rink
The Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center is decorated with hanging origami stars from the nonprofit Paper for Water, creating a magical indoor atmosphere. This summer, visitors can enjoy:
- Two for Tuesdays (June and July): Bring a friend and skate for the price of one! Admission is $13 per person with a $5 skate rental.
- Hula Skate on Saturday, June 21 from 3–5 p.m.: Skate to tropical tunes with hula dancers and enjoy leis and raffle prizes.
- Summer Skate Camps: A three-day beginner camp runs June 16–18 and again July 14–16 from 10–11 a.m. Cost is $95 per skater.
- Five-week beginner classes begin July 14 for skaters wanting to learn the basics in a fun, encouraging setting. Visit the Ice Skating Center website to sign up.
Fun for Kids and Families
There’s more than skating at Galleria Dallas this summer:
- Showtime Saturdays (11:30 a.m.–noon, near the Play Place on Level 3): These fun performances feature music, magic, dancing, and more.
- PALS Showtime (First Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m.): Enjoy live shows like “A Pair of Pirates” and puppet fun with “Maricela and Friends.”
- Drop-In Artmaking with the Dallas Museum of Art (June 27 and July 11, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.): A free, hands-on art activity for kids and families near the Play Place, hosted by the DMA’s Community Engagement team.
- Camp Crafty: Select shows will include craft projects for kids to enjoy after the performance.
