For more than a century, The Adolphus has been where Dallas comes to celebrate. On October 4, the hotel invites you into its crown jewel, The French Room, for an evening that blends timeless tradition with modern culinary artistry.
This anniversary dinner is more than a meal—it’s a moment to raise a glass to 113 years of hospitality, grace, and memory-making. Chef Frederic Sulis has designed a five-course prix-fixe menu that draws on the finest flavors of the season, each paired with carefully selected wines to complement and elevate the experience.
The French Room has been closed but with elegant dining in the bar in its stead, but this special dinner will take place in full grandeur.
Under glittering chandeliers, you’ll begin with the delicate brininess of a baked oyster touched with Meyer lemon and finish with the dramatic rise of a Grand Marnier soufflé. In between, courses unfold like chapters: a saffron bisque layered with prawn and fennel, a palate-cleansing sorbet brightened with Calvados caramel, and the centerpiece—filet mignon resting on a bed of buttery pommes purée, finished with smoked pearl onions and rich Bordelaise.
The evening is meant to linger. Conversation hums, glasses sparkle, and time feels suspended in a dining room that has witnessed more than a century of celebrations. And if you wish to carry the night a little further, the invitation continues upstairs to the comfort of one of The Adolphus’ guest rooms or suites.
