SPCA Pets of the Week: Claire and Little One

Meet Claire, a beautiful 1-year-old Pit Bull mix who has the most stunning eyes around. Claire was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on February 2 because her family had to move away and could not take her with them. Claire weighs a perfect 55 pounds and is ready to become your forever friend. She loves to play and is the perfect exercise buddy. Claire’s previous family said that she is leash trained and house trained, and that she also knows tricks like “sit,” “shake” and “lay down.” Though her family said she is good with children, they aren’t sure about Claire’s past with other animals. Bring the whole family, including other canine companions, in to meet Claire so everyone gets along before going home. Texas SPCA Pets of the Week

M is for moving . Molly is only 2-years-old and loves to play. O is for observing . This sweet girl can’t take my eyes off you! L is for loving . Molly is 42 pounds of love, just for you. L is for being a lady. This sweetie pie is very well-behaved. Y is for yearning for you, her forever family. MOLLY- that’s her name.

Molly is a Hound mix with soulful, copper eyes, white fur with brown and black markings, a button black nose, floppy ears and a very wiggly tail. No one is a stranger to this precious gal. She wants to love and to be loved. Because her previous owner had landlord issues, Molly was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on December 28. Molly is heartworm positive, but her treatments are free to her new family at a Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after she is adopted. This will provide the best total care for heartworm-positive dogs like Molly in treatment, as you will have access to emergency care and overnight stays if necessary. What are you waiting for? SPCA Pets of the Week: Chiquita and Smokey

Meet Chiquita, the cutest Chihuahua mix you’ll ever meet! She is 11-years-young and 9-pounds, making her a perfect fit for any loving family. She is a gentle gal who loves daily walks and plenty of back and belly rubs. She is quite playful and enjoys bouncing after tennis balls and dancing! SPCA Pet of the Week: Penelope and Damien

Meet Penelope, a gorgeous 2-year-old, 40-pound Terrier/American Pitt Bull mix who is looking for a forever home. She has a beautiful red and white coat with lovely caramel brown eyes. She is an athletic gal and loves to run, run, run! In addition to stretching her legs, she loves to bounce after tennis balls, play tug-o-war, and jump up for hugs. She always has fun no matter what she’s doing, and is sure to bring a smile to your face each and every day. Penelope is also pretty talented and already knows how to sit on command. She is so proud that she can do this that she jumps for joy afterwards. Since she loves being the center of attention, she would prefer to be the only dog in the house. SPCA Pets of the Week: Meet Cheyenne and Gain

We have a few more adorable pets for you to take home and love on. This week they are particularly sweet and would make a great addition to your family.

Meet Cheyenne, a delightful 2-year-old, 47-pound Sharpei/Akita mix looking for a fun and loving forever family. With her soft red and brown coat, warm chocolaty eyes, and sweet smile, she is definitely hard to resist. Cheyenne is a spirited gal and enjoys bounding after tennis balls, playing tug-o-war, and chomping down on squeaky toys. You’ll know she’s ready to play when she bounces up and down like that Pepé Le Pew from the cartoons! In addition to being a playful pup, she is also quite intelligent! With warm auburn eyes, a sweet chocolate nose, and a velvety domino-colored coat, Domino is a stunning guy. This sweet guy is an adventurous fellow who loves to frolic about the great outdoors. In fact, Domino would make a perfect running buddy if you’re looking to get in shape and explore the neighborhood. He also enjoys playing tug-of-war and fetch, chomping down on squeaky toys, dancing in circles, and getting a nice back or belly rub. Even though he is slightly bigger than your lap, Domino likes to snuggle and is the perfect lapdog.
