Cedar Creek Brewhouse to Host Girl Scout Cookie Beer Pairing Menu Jan 28-30

Conceptualized by the partners behind LUCK at Trinity Groves, Jeff Dietzman and Lance Bodwell and operated in partnership with Jim Elliot, Cedar Creek Brewhouse & Eatery in Farmers Branch is a family-friendly destination for scratch-made food, craft beer and cocktails with an elevated brewpub feel.

The brunch, lunch and dinner menus are designed to pair with the astounding 25 beers available on tap, many from the brand’s partner brewery in nearby Seven Points, Texas. Signature dishes include a slow smoked Pastrami Brisket sandwich, specialty pizzas and Bierocks, a traditional German dish consisting of meat and cheese wrapped in puffed dough.

The Galleria Celebrates a Century of Girl Scouts

Each year CraveDFW celebrates the Girl Scouts, but this is next level at the Galleria.

For the past seven years, Galleria Dallas has hosted teams of local Girl Scouts as they practiced design, engineering and architecture skills with Cookie Box Creations. That local event will not occur this year, but that won’t stop area Girl Scouts from sharing their message, and their tasty cookies, with Galleria Dallas shoppers.

New Girl Scout Cookie Sales Champ, Elizabeth Brinton

If you haven’t bought any Girl Scout Cookies yet, you have only three more days to do so. If you already have, you probably bought them from 11-year-old Katie Francis in Oklahoma City. Katie has destroyed the record for most cookies sold, which stood for close to 30 years. The previous record of 18,000 boxes was set by Elizabeth Brinton, who actually has a Wikipedia page that is divided into “cookie years” and “later years.”   Continue reading

Twisted Root Runs Contest To Buy Entire Troop’s Girl Scout Cookies

Girl Scout sightings everywhere, and that can only mean it is cookie season. One local company is wanting to buy up a large ration of cookies to include in their Milk Shake of the Month. Twisted Root’ March Shake of the Month will be loaded with Girl Scout cookies and they need over 500 boxes To fulfill their need they are doing a contest where one lucky troop will be selected and the burger joint will be their entire stock (sorry Jeff Pappas).      Continue reading
