Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas have partnered with the female owned and operated bakery, Bisous Bisous, to create a series of sweet treats celebrating Girl Scout cookies.
With the help of local Girl Scouts, Chef Andrea Meyer (who, by the way, was a Girl Scout herself along with several members of her staff) has developed a decadent Samoa croissant and set of macrons inspired by classic cookie flavors. The macarons are sold in a set of six, each one coordinated in flavor and box color to the cookie that inspired it. Flavors include: Thin Mint, S’mores, Samoa, Trefoil, Do-Si-Do and Tagalong, and a portion of the proceeds from the boxes will be donated to the local Girl Scout council.
Chef Andrea, who considers her time selling Girl Scout cookies an important step in her path to becoming an entrepreneur, will also serve as a mentor to high school Girl Scouts interested in entering the culinary world or even starting their own business.
