millsby Steven Doyle

I have known this week’s chef for quite a while. He has an air of no-nonsense charisma that makes for a unique chef that has blazed a trail in the DFW area for many years now,  loading us up with beef created many different ways, from a bountiful haunch plated pretty to a fantastic bunned bit of savoriness.

No doubt that as an avid reader of these pages you have heard mention of chef Kenny Mills who re-opened his award winning Original Chop House Burgers in Arlington just recently to accolades. A man who makes a burger that we queue up for with bated breath. A man we just recently sat with and discussed his interesting history. Continue reading

A visit to the new Cooper’s Meat Market revealed so much more going on than providing giant haunches of beef for home cooks. Burger of the Day: Kenny Mill’s Chop House Burger

burgerby Steven Doyle

Kenny Mills is a bodacious fan of the burger, and does them extremely well at his burger emporium  at 1700 West Park Row in Arlington. There you will find Chop House Burger which is celebrating the Cowboy’s insanely good season with a burger dedicated to the Pro Bowl and their entry into the play-off this coming weekend. We would love to point out that not one, but six of Dallas’ players will be playing in the Pro Bowl. The Cowboys  are sending quarterback Tony Romo and leading NFL rusher DeMarco Murray, as well as wide receiver Dez Bryant; center Travis Frederick; rookie guard Zack Martin; and tackle Tyron Smith.  Continue reading
