Mockingbird Lane, is not just a prime Dallas steakhouse but also serves a unique with a side of specialty brunch cocktails every Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Nominated three times as a James Beard Best Chef Southwest semifinalist and on Top Chef twice, Tesar designed the menu to include one-of-a-kind dishes highlighting his signature aged meats, along with more traditional brunch favorites. Knife Has a Bacon Sampling You Won’t Want to Miss

The meat Mecca of Dallas is without a doubt, Knife located in the Highland Dallas located just off Central Expressway at Mockingbird and in Willowbend. This is the love-child of chef John Tesar who has elevated the steak experience, and the results are precious.

The menu is dotted with a whole host of steaks ranging in price from the very affordable, to the more exotic and a bit pricey. However, the latter comes in giant slabs and sliced for easy sharing, so the cost per person is actually as easy to swallow as the dry aged beef. Continue reading →

The exclusive dinner will feature a five-course tasting menu prepared by Chef John Tesar, with Bollinger Champagne pairings selected by Knife’s sommelier, Ben Reynolds. John Tesar to Host Annual Feast of the Seven Fishes Christmas Eve Dinner

On Christmas Eve, Chef John Tesar will offer his annual Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner at his new Knife Plano restaurant, at The Shops at Willow Bend. Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian tradition derived from the Roman Catholic custom of celebrating Christmas Eve with a shared meatless meal before the midnight Mass. Since his days at Spoon, Chef Tesar has made this tradition his own by perfectly curating a fish and seafood meal for his guests.

Tesar Hosts ‘Feed the Children’ Benefit at Knife on September 27th

On Wednesday, September 27, Chef John Tesar will host a dinner benefiting Feed The Children, featuring a reception and seated dinner, and other acclaimed guest chefs. This dinner is part of the Celebrity Chef Series campaign and will be held at Knife. The event starts with a reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by a multi-course dinner at 7:00 p.m.

The funds from the dinner will help to deliver semi-tractor trailer loads of disaster relief supplies such as bottled water, food, hygiene items, diapers, and other much-needed essentials to Houston and the surrounding areas.
