G.O.A.T’s Arena Sports Bar Grand Opening in Little Elm – Happening Today!

G.O.A.T’s Arena Sports Bar, the high-energy sports and social hub known for blending the atmosphere of a live stadium with the comfort of a neighborhood hangout, will open its third North Texas location, and first franchise, in Little Elm on October 17. Located at 27052 E. University Dr., this marks the brand’s third North Texas opening and its very first franchise.

The new restaurant marks the next phase of the brand’s expansion strategy following two recent successful openings in Fairview and Frisco. Additionally, the Little Elm franchise group is also already exploring up to two more North Texas locations over the next 18 months.

Fourth DFW Alamo Drafthouse Announced

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema DFW announces today that the fourth location of the Alamo Drafthouse in North Texas is in the Denton County Town of Little Elm. Alamo Drafthouse Little Elm will open in the first quarter of 2016. The theater plans to open in the newly developing, Main Marketplace at the northwest corner of Main Street and FM 423.

“Stepping into Denton County and being a part of the massive growth happening in Little Elm is very exciting. Additionally having an Alamo closer to UNT and TWU as well as landing in the same city with another great Austin-centric brand, Hula Hut, makes this the perfect combination. Little Elm’s Brew and Cue

Little Elm joined the ranks of the craft beer movement last weekend, June 14, when the first Brew and Que happened. While it was a little warm, there was a pleasant enough breeze off the lake and some shade in certain spots close enough to the bands to enjoy the day. The park offered adequate parking and volleyball courts for some exercise. A standard playground rounded it out for the parents that visited the fest.

The food at the fest was a great variety of barbeque, street tacos, Cajun and others. The only downside to the food vendors were the supplies on hand. A few vendors ran out of food only a few hours into the six hour fest. This can be expected from a first year event when the amount of attendees is underestimated. Continue reading →
