Dallas’ shopping and dining destination, Mockingbird Station, welcomes Wulf Burger to its list of tenants. The popular burger joint, Wulf Burger, is expanding its footprint in Texas with the opening of its second North Texas installment on January 31, 2022 (today). The new Dallas location will occupy the 1,769-square-foot space next door to Rush Bowls.

Milkshake Concepts – the creative minds behind Vidorra, STIRR, Harper’s, Dirty Bones, Serious Pizza and Citizen – is embarking on its newest culinary venture by preparing to open The Finch, a chic new restaurant serving American fare, in Mockingbird Station.
Located at 5307 E. Mockingbird Lane, Ste. 150, in the space formerly occupied by Café Express, construction on the new 5,760-square-foot anchor restaurant will begin this fall with an opening date slated for spring of 2022. The fully renovated space will feature a warm, comfortable interior with an expansive patio and valet. Its welcoming and versatile atmosphere will create the perfect ambiance for a laid-back brunch, lunch or dinner, or an intimate date night accompanied by a nice bottle of wine.

Dallas’ shopping and dining destination Mockingbird Station keeps the Texas State Fair’s spirit alive with its own pop-up fair taking place on October 16–18 in the Mockingbird Station shopping center.
Since 1886, the Texas State Fair has brought the DFW community together. The Texas State Fair was initially canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic but has now turned into a limited drive-through fair. In the spirit of the fair’s long-standing tradition, Mockingbird Station is excited to host a three-day fair activation called, The Mockingbird Station Fair, which offers Dallasites a fun way to come together through carnival-inspired décor and games.

A new type of ice cream shop is now open in Mockingbird Station. Instead of sugar, Pure Milk & Honey serves ice cream sweetened with honey for its soft serve and sundae offerings. Pure Milk & Honey was created by Cindy Chung, who was inspired by her to open a dessert shop after her international expeditions.

Agu Ramen is serving up the most authentic ramen you might be able to find in the Dallas area, making their own noodles and boiling pork bones for 24-hours as part of their tonkotsu, but also has a vegetarian and five vegan options. We might add that Agu is extremely vegan friendly and after speaking with the owner who is originally from Okinawa now residing in Hawaii, Hisashi “Teddy” Uehara, he plans to open a vegan restaurant in Dallas after visiting most of the vegan hot-spots in the area recently. Urban Taco, a modern Mexican restaurant by Del Sur Restaurant Group will officially open its new and larger location tomorrow Wednesday, October 18 within Mockingbird Station in suite 105.
The new spot (on the far northeast corner inside the complex and adjacent to the main theater entrance) allows for more interior space, an updated look and large patio. Continue reading

I checked into the newly opened Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom this week, and felt something vaguely familiar. No, it wasn’t the fact that it was in the briefly the location of Mockingbird Taproom, the beer version of the many restaurants opened and failed in the DFW area by Restaurant America. Although the decor did not change even a little bit, there is where the similarities end. I do recall having been to an Old Chicago in Colorado many years ago, and that is also where the company started. Continue reading
