Savor Dallas 2017 A Screaming Success

Another successful year with Savor Dallas, the areas largest food and wine festival as it introduced some amazing event locations, highlighted the area’s best chefs, slurpy good wines and cocktails and some of the best fellowship this city has to offer.

Each of the events laid out for the week replayed a version of Who’s Who of the hospitality industry which always makes it fun. Catching up on the latest restaurant news is certainly a great by-product of these types of events.   Continue reading

The 2017 version of Savor Dallas begins this week and the line up looks exception this year. The first event opens like a lion tomorrow, April 6th and is completely sold out as are most of the events. This has left more than a few pining for tickets. At this late date you will need to check the web site for what is available.

Savor Dallas Announces 2017 Line-Up

Savor Dallas announces the full 2017 event lineup and host chefs for its festival on April 6-9, featuring five events over four days. The 13th annual food, wine, and spirits celebration’s gourmet adventures include a smoking hot opening night kickoff in the Harwood District, a mixology-fueled cocktail party, a supreme grand tasting experience, and a farmer’s market brunch. Savor Dallas Announces Restaurants and Wines for Multi-day Festival

Savor Dallas presented by Goody Goody, will feature a robust lineup of participating restaurants and wines. This enriched multi-day festival serves as the ultimate toast to the city’s culinary scene and epicurean culture and will celebrate its 11th year on March 19-22, 2015. This will be the first year the event is under the dynamic new direction and management of CrowdSource, the event company of The Dallas Morning News.

Savor Dallas kicks off with the Arts District Wine Stroll on Thursday, March 19, followed by Savor the Arboretum on March 20, The Reserve Tasting at The Women’s Museum in Fair Park on March 21, The Grand Tasting at Centennial Hall in Fair Park, also on March 21, and the Community Brunch in partnership with Downtown Dallas Inc. and Café Momentum at Main Street Garden on March 22.

Is it too early to discuss an event that is three months away? I think not when we are discussing Savor Dallas.Since tickets go on sale in just a few weeks it might be a good time to block off the dates.

Scenes From 2014 Savor Dallas

Another successful year for Savor Dallas was completed this past weekend. This was the tenth annual event for organizer, Jim White. And with his massive amounts of volunteers he managed to pulled off the best food and wine even ever seen in North Texas. After a two year hiatus at the Irving Convention Center, and after having outgrown several hotels in Dallas, White managed to pull in the event to Dallas Convention Center and the Omni Dallas Hotel. Brilliant move on Savor’s part.
