Taste Addison Line-Up


Taste Addison’s Saturday musical lineup will have you feeling like you’re at an early-2000s pop-punk music festival – in the best way possible. The Best-in-DFW festival, which dates back to 1993, will kick off at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3, with a performance by DFW-based act Van Full of Nuns before launching into the first of four nationally known bands.

Registration Opens TOMORROW for Addison Oktoberfest’s Dachshund Dash (Oktoberfest Info)

At Addison Oktoberfest, which runs this year from Sept. 15-18, Sunday is Sunday Hund-Day, and German dog breeds are recognized and celebrated. While personal pets are not permitted, there’s plenty of furry fun to enjoy. Cheer on some tiny racers at the Dachshund Dash (advance, online registration here is required to participate). Then, meet some dogs and learn about some of the many breeds that originated in Germany at the German Dog Showcase.

‘80s Night Out Brings Free Family Fun to Addison Circle Park June 18

The fun starts with a live performance by DFW-based ‘80s cover band, 80s Gadgets at 7 p.m. Then, at 8:15 p.m., get your dancing shoes ready for a lesson on some of the decade’s most iconic dance moves. Put those moves to the test when 80s Gadgets returns to the stage at 8:45 p.m., closing the night out with live renditions of nostalgic pop, rock and new wave tunes.

Celebrate Rio Carnival at Addison After Dark: Fiesta Noche on April 16

Rio Carnival-themed celebration complete with empanadas, street tacos, Samba music and dancing, a fire show and more. Throughout the night, enjoy shopping in our Mercado and make time to visit the free exotic petting zoo from 7 – 9 p.m. to interact with animals found in the tropical rainforests of Brazil.

Addison Drive-In Kicks Off July 17th

Addison is known as the place to gather and celebrate with great music, food and fun. The town’s Special Events team has worked to create ways to safely allow guests to congregate and enjoy live music, and thus has launched Addison Weekend Drive-In presented by Oncor, two weekends of live music offered to patrons in a drive-in environment. The concerts replace Addison After Dark, a more hands-on interactive entertainment series which the town had been offering monthly. Continue reading
